Dr. Aaron Anderson Named New President of Lakeshore Bone & Joint Institute

After 16 years of dedicated service as President of Lakeshore Bone & Joint Institute, Dr. Thomas Kay has decided to step down from that role to devote more time to his family and his full-time practice. He has passed his leadership duties to new President Dr. Aaron Anderson as of July 18th.

Dr. Kay joined Lakeshore Bone & Joint Institute in 1994 and has served as an integral part of the growth and expansion efforts that have led Lakeshore Bone & Joint Institute to become Northwest Indiana’s top orthopedic solution. Dr. Kay will continue to serve as a full-time physician dedicated to the orthopedic needs of Northwest Indiana patients.

“I’ve spent many years working to develop this organization, but I can’t think of anyone better to take on the continued development and leadership into the future. Dr. Anderson has helped us build a long-standing tradition of quality care in a communal environment. While it is bittersweet, I step down knowing that Dr. Anderson is ready to lead this team forward.” said Dr. Kay.

Dr. Aaron Anderson joined Lakeshore Bone and Joint Institute in 2007 and has developed a practice that is focused on solving very complex problems in the shoulder, elbow, hand, and wrist. After graduating from the University of Michigan, he completed his orthopedic surgery residency at SUNY Upstate Medical University in Syracuse, New York. In addition, he also completed an orthopedic hand and upper extremity surgery fellowship at the Cleveland Clinic.

Dr. Anderson says, “Having served this community for years, and having worked with Dr. Kay during that time, my transition into this new role should be seamless based on his leadership. Collectively, we’ve produced some tremendous successes over the last decade, and I look forward to helping drive continued service and care to Northwest Indiana.”
