Board-certified, fellowship-trained hand and upper extremity surgeon Dr. Aaron Anderson joined Lakeshore Bone & Joint Institute in 2007. His practice focus is solely on the arm (the shoulder, elbow, hand, and wrist), which allows him to focus on very complex problems that others cannot tackle. From microvascular issues to large joints concerns, Dr. Anderson is dedicated to helping people get back to full health.

After receiving his bachelor of science degree from the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor, Michigan, he went on to attend the University of Michigan Medical School to earn his medical doctorate. After medical school, he completed an orthopedic surgery residency at SUNY Upstate Medical University in Syracuse, New York, followed by additional specialty training through an orthopedic hand and upper extremity surgery fellowship at the Cleveland Clinic in Cleveland, Ohio.

Dr. Anderson is certified by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery with a certificate of added qualifications in surgery of the hand.

“Dr. Anderson was prompt and kind. He was very informative. Unfortunately, the condition I have requires some patience on my part and the hope that it will heal with time. He was very helpful, suggesting simple at home therapy and several weeks to see if it will heal on its own with surgery as a last resort. He is great.”
