Painful hips brought Bill M. to the office of LBJI’s Dr. Michael Leland. “From the first time I met the doctor and his nurse, Jill, I felt comfortable,” he said. The diagnosis called for hip replacements.
“The way Dr. Leland performed my surgery, recovery was a piece of cake. He’s using a process that I don’t think other area doctors are doing. I’ll tell anyone who wants to listen that this kind of hip replacement is the way to go.”
Bill is also generous with his praise for Rachel, his physical therapist. He credits her with keeping him on the track to recovery when he developed tendonitis after surgery. “She told me I had changed my gait, putting a stain on my other heel.” The tendonitis was treated with ultrasound.
He’s looking forward to getting the other hip replaced, just four months after the first procedure. “Rest assured that if I wasn’t completely happy with the first surgery, I wouldn’t be going back.”
